Questions about concrete grinding & grind & seal
Grind & seal vs polish — what's the difference?
Grind & seal stops at a coarse grit and adds a topical sealer; polish continues to fine grits and uses a densifier instead of a coating. Grind & seal is cheaper and faster; polish lasts longer and never peels.
Can you grind a floor with carpet glue or mastic?
Yes — that's a very common job. Black mastic on pre-1980 floors may contain asbestos and should be tested first.
