FAQ
Questions we get every week.
What is dustless blasting?
Dustless (wet abrasive) blasting mixes water with the abrasive inside the blast pot. The water traps most of the dust and keeps the surface cool, so it strips paint, rust and coatings faster than pressure washing and cleaner than dry sandblasting. It works on concrete, steel, brick and wood.
How much does blasting cost?
Blasting starts at $3 per square foot. Concrete grind & seal starts at $2 per square foot. Larger projects are priced at $2,500 per crew day. Most projects are quoted over the phone the same day; if we need to see it, we're usually on site within 24 hours.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free, and there's no deposit on most jobs. Commercial clients are set up on net-30 terms.
How soon can you start?
Typically 2–3 days out. Most jobs take 1–2 days.
What do you need from me on site?
Usually just parking. Our rigs carry their own compressed air, water and power. For interior work we need access and a place to stage; for floors, the area should be clear.
What surfaces do you work on?
Concrete, wood, brick and masonry, and metal (steel, aluminum, cast iron). We choose the abrasive and pressure for each surface and test a small patch before committing.
Is there anything you won't blast?
Silicone-based paint on brick — it can't come off without destroying the brick face. Wood where the only media aggressive enough to lift the coating would also chew the grain. And we won't sell a full concrete polish if grind & seal will get you where you need to be.
Are you licensed and insured?
We carry general liability, workers' compensation, commercial auto and bonding. Certificates are available on request for your project file.
Where are you located and what area do you serve?
We're based at 800 Avenue H on Treasure Island, San Francisco. Our standard service area is the Bay Area from San Jose to Napa — roughly a 70-mile radius — and we take larger projects statewide in Northern California.
What are your hours?
Monday through Sunday, 6 AM to 8 PM. Call (628) 222-4876.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — 1 to 2 years on polished and sealed concrete floors.
Can you prep for epoxy, powder coat or paint?
Yes. Surface prep for coatings is a large share of our work. Tell us the product spec (CSP or SSPC profile) and we'll prep to it.
